An antique Victorian Staffordshire flatback which is often described as a courting couple or Romeo and Juliet.
It is primarily white with handpainted detailing and gold gilt details.
The bocage foliage is in green, yellow, orange and brown.
The couple are seated under an arbor looking intently at one another.
There is wear to the paint and gold gilt due to its age. There also appears to be an area of missing foliage to the top centre - see photo, although this is not terribly noticeable unless examined closely.
It measures 9" tall x 7.5" wide x 4.5" deep.
